HUMANIZE CONCRETE PRODUCT
The Idea
Based on the concept of Human Centered Design, Humanize Concrete is the result of searching different ways to make concrete a much more friendly material, getting rid of the idea it's heavy and only meant to be used for construction purposes.
The Concept
The product chosen was a candleholder, an everyday decorative object that is found on many homes, a product that meets the objective of humanizing concrete by having a meaning which is lighting up a candle for finding light, relaxing or meditating.
The Result
A collection of six different candleholders, each with a different process and amount of substrates and dyes that give each piece a different texture and color. The piece was made by pouring concrete into silicone moulds.
